Leslie Dong has managed to carve out a remarkable journey for herself by hacking her way through scholarship and award applications. Securing over $200,000 to date, Leslie not only graduated debt-free, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Colorado-Boulder with a 3.98 GPA.
Within her 4 years in college, she completed 4 internships, wrote two theses including a 80-page honors thesis while starting several companies in the United States and other parts of the world. Leslie also managed to around the globe around this time and participate in leadership programs in Switzerland, Germany, France, South Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and China with little to no money out of pocket.
She is a recipient of the Jacob Van Ek Award, one of the highest honors awarded at the University of Colorado-Boulder, a finalist for the Samuel Huntington Public Service Award, and also helped a women’s organization win $72,000 from WeWork’s Creators Award in 2018.
